Steve Lehman is running for re-election as City Councillor for Ward 8, a role he has held since 2018. Ward 8 covers the Oakridge, Hazeldon, Hunt Club, Oakridge Crossing, and Clara Breton Woods neighbourhoods in northwest London.
During his time on Council, Steve has chaired the Planning and Environment Committee, Vice-Chaired the Budget Committee and served on the Strategic Priorities and Policy Committee. He also represents Council on the London Police Services Board, the London Transit Commission, and the Lake Huron Water Supply System, and serves as Vice Chair of the Dearness Home Committee of Management, which oversees the City's long-term care facility. Beyond Council, Steve is a longtime member of the Oakridge Optimist Club and the Royal Canadian Legion Vimy Branch, giving back to the community he calls home.
Steve believes in practical, fiscally responsible local government: cutting red tape that slows down housing and development, keeping city spending in check, and making sure Ward 8 residents get reliable transit, safe streets, and well-maintained infrastructure. He is committed to being an accessible, hands-on councillor who listens to residents and gets results for the neighbourhoods he serves.
